Aiming to…

Prepare a set of SAP Bank Tutorial for SAP Bank function consultants.
The tutorial would set up SAP Bank solutions from very beginning: from an empty (without data) SAP ERP environment, by “Define company” and “Assign company code to company”, step by step, setup interfaces among system components, Bank and FI/BP parts, till configure deposits, loans, collateral products, and run periodic tasks, reporting, as well as certain analytic bank functions and handle CDS, cubes with HANA Studio or Business Application Studio.

Scope…                                                                                                           

SAP Bank as a product family has three parts: standalone products, banking in ERP, banking in S/4HANA, they make a matrix.
This tutorial scope will only cover part SAP banking,  it focuses on: Main functions; Main customizations of:

Credit Risk, Collateral, Deposits, and Loans

Tutorial form…

The tutorial will be in webpage on this site, and mainly focus on SAP GUI. Although, in the future end users will forget about GUI or transaction codes (everything will on Cloud, users will use and develop SAP anywhere with an App without installation).
Tutorial will not cover each step/click of the mouse. It will show the important screen or steps. With one key screenshot, an experienced SAP consultant will catch the idea of a setting.

Before the tutorial…

The following six layors are prepared by someone else for you/by you:

  • Hardware (Cloud is just someone else's hardware)/Server/Network etc.
  • Operating system Windows NT, SUSE Linux, IBM AIX, etc.
  • Oracle, SAP HANA, FIORI, NetWeaver, ERP or banking products (standalone or suite), etc.
  • Management Console, GUI, Cloud access, etc.
  • Client/sandbox etc.
  • User PW/User with relevant profile/authorization for customization, eventually SAP ID, Developer License, etc.

Version…

Tutorials are finished mainly in SAP ECC 6.0, partially in S/4HANA.
