HANA Cloud for function consultants (Part Five): Set up Database Explorer and deploy Fiori App

With these components (CDS, OData, App etc.), function consultants could effectively analyze the business requirements of the client and write specs with more flexibility, function consultants could achieve business design targets more efficiently and accurately. When the URL is ready from HANA, need to logon to the SAP Database Explorer with Cloud username.

In the Database Explorer, we could setup tables, cubes, views, etc.

With button “Open Data” we could check the data. This App completes the targets of our CDS project perfectly.

And a function consultant should always keep in mind that the most effectively way for us is not to “design-build-test” new CDS, but we should check if the solution could reuse CDS that are already officially released by SAP. For example, SAP Bank Services 8.0 and 9.0 provided rich CDS choices, especially CDS relevant to Loans Management.
